The challenges that await you

Reporting to the main manager – central library, partnerships and programming, you ensure the quality of reference and reader assistance at the central library and support the neighborhood library teams in this area. You also ensure the quality of service offerings, support, and assistance for technological and digital creation and experimentation, both in the spaces of the central library and in neighborhood libraries and outside the walls. Finally, you promote, support, and strengthen essential literacy skills among citizens, whether traditional literacy or specialized literacies related to your area of expertise.

In collaboration with the management team, you participate in establishing and adhering to service standards, objectives, and performance indicators relevant to your responsibility. You plan, supervise, and implement measures to optimize the performance of your teams, ensure that work procedures are followed, and identify areas for improvement to better meet public needs from a user experience perspective. You participate in various committees to plan operations under your supervision and facilitate interventions.

You assess the human, financial, and material resources required for the operations under your charge. You submit detailed reports and may be called upon to make presentations. You ensure the flow of information among other teams or partners, communicate issues, and actively participate in seeking improvement opportunities. Results-oriented, you ensure the efficiency of work processes and compliance with them by operational teams. You foster a friendly work environment and motivate your team towards quality public service.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a Master's degree in Information Science
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Be comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a constantly evolving environment.
